Could DeKalb County officers be planning a ticket furlough? According to the AJC and the Police Officers' Blog, some DeKalb county officers are organizing a ticket furlough to protest their unpaid holidays. The County Commission voted that 7 holidays would go unpaid because of budget cuts. The DeKalb Fraternal Order of Police did not support the ticket furlough, but were highly concerned about the implications of budget cuts and officer morale. According to county officials, they have not seen a decline in citations, instead they are 7% above where they were this time last year.
